Project case study

AI Daily Pulse

A daily AI news briefing that turns a noisy feed of product, research and infra signal into a short edition you can actually finish.

Editions are structured around three things to know, one featured story, and a filtered signal feed — so scanning the AI landscape takes minutes, not tabs.

Outcomes

  • Daily edition format with a fixed reading path
  • Featured story plus compact signal cards instead of an endless feed
  • Category filters for pulse, product, research and infra

Problem

AI news arrives as an endless stream of launches, papers, policy notes and product updates.

  • Useful signal is buried under duplicate headlines and low-context posts.
  • Reading five sources still leaves no clear picture of what mattered today.
  • There is no stable format for returning to the same beat tomorrow.

The issue is not access to information. It is the absence of an editorial system that reduces the day to what is worth knowing.

Goal

Build a daily pulse product that packages the AI landscape into a short, repeatable edition.

  1. Open with three things to know.

  2. Give one story room to breathe.

  3. Keep the rest as a scannable signal feed with clear categories.

The product should feel like a terminal for AI news: dense, calm, and finished in one sitting.

System

AI Daily Pulse runs as a fixed daily composition:

  1. Edition frame — date, reading time, and a clear path through the page.
  2. Three things to know — the highest-signal points before anything else.
  3. Featured story — one narrative given space, with a source link out.
  4. Signal feed — filtered cards across pulse, product, research and infra.

Result

AI Daily Pulse turns a scattered monitoring habit into a productized daily edition. The design priority is orientation, not completeness: finish the pulse, then go deep only where it matters.
